Controlled airspace around Austin-Bergstrom and the Downtown corridor does require FAA authorization before any commercial drone flight can take place. Our pilots handle all of that coordination through the FAA's LAANCIE system and, where applicable, through direct airspace authorization requests. You don't need to navigate any of that yourself — we take care of it as part of every engagement.
Yes. Every pilot on our Austin team holds a current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, which is required by federal law for all commercial drone operations in the United States. We also carry full liability insurance and provide that documentation directly to your venue, property manager, or project site contact upon request.
