The second is styled lifestyle photography that shows your product in a real-world context. The number of products we can cover in a day depends on the complexity of each shot and the variety of angles, setups, and styling required per SKU. Simple white-background shots with a consistent setup can move through at a high volume. Styled lifestyle setups that require scene changes, prop arrangements, or location shifts naturally take more time per product. We discuss this in detail during your pre-shoot planning call so we can build a realistic schedule that matches your shot list — and for larger catalogs, we can plan multi-day or recurring sessions to make sure everything is covered properly.

We offer styling guidance and can incorporate props suited to your brand's aesthetic and story. Austin has a great local ecosystem for sourcing interesting, authentic props — from the vintage shops along South Congress to the artisan goods available at weekend markets like the SFC Farmers' Market. During the pre-shoot planning call, we talk through the look and feel you want to achieve, and we can advise on what props and surfaces will best serve your brand's visual identity. Clients are also welcome to bring their own props, complementary products, or branded elements to the shoot.

We shoot on seamless white backgrounds for clean e-commerce imagery, as well as on a range of surface textures — wood, concrete, linen, marble, and others — that suit lifestyle and editorial-style shots. For Austin brands that want to lean into local character, we can incorporate outdoor environmental backdrops that reflect the city's personality. Austin's sunshine is a genuine advantage for lifestyle and outdoor product shoots — the city gets abundant natural light for most of the year. That said, the summer months from roughly June through September bring intense heat that regularly exceeds 100 degrees, which makes outdoor sessions most practical in the early morning or late afternoon when temperatures are more manageable and the light has that warm, golden quality that works beautifully on camera. Spring and fall are the most flexible seasons for outdoor work, and Austin's mild winters also offer good conditions. Studio sessions are entirely climate-controlled and unaffected by weather, which is always an option if timing or conditions are a factor.
