Candid Studios has been photographing destination weddings since 2016 for couples who fall in love with a place and want to say their vows there — whether that's a vineyard in Napa, a villa in the Caribbean, or a historic estate in Savannah. Our destination wedding packages include a pre-trip planning call to coordinate timelines across time zones, travel to your venue, two days of coverage to capture rehearsal dinners and day-after sessions, and a gallery of 500-900 edited images. We arrive a day early to scout the venue in person, identify the best light at different times of day, and plan backup locations for weather changes. All travel costs are transparent and quoted upfront — no surprise fees after the fact. We bring redundant camera bodies and backup gear because there are no second chances when you've flown your family across the country. With experience shooting in tropical heat, mountain altitude, and coastal wind, our team adapts to the environment so you can focus entirely on your celebration.

Our destination packages include travel coordination, scouting your venue in advance (virtually or in person), full-day photography coverage, professional editing, and an online gallery. We handle all our own logistics so you can focus on enjoying your destination wedding.
We travel anywhere in the US and internationally. We've photographed weddings in Hawaii, Mexico, Italy, the Caribbean, and beyond. Travel fees are quoted per destination and typically cover airfare, accommodation, and a per diem.
Book 12-18 months in advance for destination weddings. This allows time for travel planning, venue scouting, and timeline coordination across time zones. Popular destination wedding dates in tropical locations book up especially fast.
Yes. For domestic destinations, we arrive a day early to scout locations and lighting conditions. For international weddings, we do virtual scouting with video calls and venue floor plans. This preparation ensures we know exactly where to be for the best shots.
We bring a full lighting kit that adapts to any setting, from bright beach ceremonies to candlelit receptions. We're experienced with tropical sun, desert heat, mountain weather, and everything in between. Our equipment is weather-sealed for outdoor conditions.
Absolutely. Many destination weddings include welcome dinners, rehearsals, day-after sessions, and farewell brunches. We offer multi-day packages that cover the full wedding weekend at a discounted rate compared to booking individual days.
We travel with all images on encrypted drives and cloud backup. We never check equipment bags. Our workflow ensures your photos are safely backed up before we leave the destination. You'll never lose a single image.
Yes, we maintain a network of trusted vendors at popular destination wedding locations. We can recommend coordinators, florists, and other professionals who know the local venues. We also coordinate seamlessly with any vendor your planner has selected.
We understand that destination weddings are particularly susceptible to travel disruptions. We offer flexible rescheduling with no penalty fee. Your retainer transfers to the new date and location. We'll work with you through any changes.
Travel costs (flight, hotel, meals) are the only additional expense. Our photography package pricing remains the same regardless of location. We provide a detailed travel quote before booking so there are no surprises.
