Image Licensing
Candid Studios creates professional photography for weddings, events, and commercial clients across the United States. Selected images from our commercial and event portfolio are available for licensed use by qualifying organizations.
What images are available to license
The following categories of Candid Studios photography may be licensed for third-party commercial, editorial, or branded use, subject to the terms described below:
- Commercial photography — brand imagery, corporate headshots, and business campaign work that does not feature identifiable private individuals.
- Event photography — gala, fundraiser, and corporate event coverage where the event organizer holds a signed release or the images show public settings without identifiable attendees.
- Real estate photography — interior and exterior property photography.
- Select brand and marketing imagery — Candid Studios promotional photos used on this website that are cleared for sub-licensing.
Available images are identified by the Licensable badge displayed in Google Image Search results.
Images not available for licensing
The following categories are not available for third-party licensing due to the privacy rights and reasonable expectations of the individuals photographed:
- Wedding and elopement photography
- Engagement session photography
- Family portrait and newborn/maternity photography
- Senior portrait photography
- Boudoir photography
- Destination wedding photography
Inquiries for these categories will not be fulfilled, and we respectfully ask that requests are not submitted for them.
License terms
All licenses granted by Candid Studios are commercial, paid, non-exclusive, and non-transferable. Key terms include:
- Each license covers a defined usage type, territory, and term — agreed in writing before use.
- Credit is required: “Photo: Candid Studios” (or as specified in the license agreement).
- Images may not be resold, sublicensed, or used in a way that implies endorsement of a product or organization not agreed in writing.
- Candid Studios retains full copyright in all licensed images; this page describes a limited right to use, not a transfer of ownership.
- Pricing is determined on a per-image, per-use basis and quoted after reviewing your request. There is no fixed rate card — fees reflect usage scope, distribution size, and exclusivity.
How to request a license
To inquire about licensing a specific image, please contact us with the following information:
- A link to, or description of, the image you wish to license.
- Intended use (e.g. magazine editorial, website banner, print advertising, social media campaign).
- Territory and duration of use.
- Your organization name and contact details.
We aim to respond to all licensing inquiries within two business days.
