Planning Around Cleveland's Seasons and Weather
Anyone who lives in Northeast Ohio knows that Cleveland weather deserves a strategy. We recommend scheduling your maternity session between weeks 28 and 34 of your pregnancy, when your belly is beautifully visible but you still have plenty of energy and comfort for an outdoor session. If you're hoping for vibrant greenery, May through early July is ideal for Cleveland's parks and reservations. For the warm golden tones of autumn foliage, late September through mid-October in the Cuyahoga Valley or Bedford Reservation is hard to beat. Cleveland and the surrounding area offer wonderful options depending on the style you're going for. Edgewater Park and Wendy Park near Whiskey Island are beautiful for lakefront images with open sky and water. Rocky River Reservation and Brecksville Reservation in the Metroparks are ideal if you want lush, wooded scenery. For an urban look, Tremont and Ohio City both offer compelling street-level backdrops. If you're considering Cuyahoga Valley National Park for its dramatic natural scenery, that's also well within reach from most Cleveland-area neighborhoods.
