How Photo And Film Delivery Works

After your event, we edit your photos and film. When they are done, your photos, film and RAW files show up in your Candid Studios client portal. This guide explains what happens in between.

How Long Editing Takes

Editing typically takes about 3–5 weeks after your event.

• While we edit, your Home page shows "We're crafting your story."
• The portal says: "Your photos and film are being edited. We'll notify you the moment your gallery is ready to review."
• We email you, and show it under Galleries, the moment everything is live.

Where Your Delivery Appears

Open Galleries in the sidebar once delivery is complete. The page is titled Your Galleries and says "Photos, film, and RAW downloads by event." You can also use Media on your event's project page.

Each event has its own card, with rows like these:

When delivery is complete, Home also shows "Your gallery is ready to open" with a View galleries button.

Sign The Release First

Until you sign the release, you see watermarked photo previews. The portal says: "You're viewing watermarked photo previews. Sign the Photography & Videography Release to download full-resolution photos and access the film." It says signing takes about a minute.

• The Media section says "Sign the media release to unlock downloads" and "Sign the media release to watch the film."
• The gallery site also notes that photos are watermarked until approved.

Downloading Your Photos

Choose Open on your photo gallery. It opens in a new tab.

• Use Download All in the gallery toolbar to grab a full zip from the gallery site.
• Hover over a single photo, or tap it on a phone, to download just that one.

Favoriting And Sharing

Favorite photos, rate them with the stars, and share the whole gallery or a single photo. The gallery asks for your email to save your favorites and ratings, and remembers your selections when you return. See How To Favorite And Share Your Photos.

Watching Your Film

On Galleries, choose Watch on the Film / video row. On the review page you can leave timestamped comments, then approve the film or request a revision. See How To Watch Your Film And Leave Feedback.

The portal says the film appears when we publish the wedding film.

RAW Photos

When RAW files are part of your delivery, your event card shows a RAW photos row with a Download button.

Keep A Backup

Once your photos are downloaded, keep a copy somewhere other than your phone. The Galleries page reminds you to keep a backup copy off your phone.

If Delivery Is Not Ready Yet

You may see one of these messages before everything is live.

• "Your galleries will appear after your event."
• "Once we capture and edit your day, photos and film links show up here and under Galleries."
• "Editing will begin soon, galleries will show up here when they're ready."
• "Delivery is in progress. Check back soon, or open Galleries from the sidebar when your links go live."
